About the Event
Join us for an engaging and informative virtual training session on the basics of Permanency Planning Review (PPR) meetings. While similar to a CFT, these are different in a few key ways and provide a consistent opportunity for the entire team including FP/KPs and bio families to come together to discuss case progress, placement, and the permanency plan for the child. Based on our FP/KP & GAL survey and discussions with foster/kinship parents, GALs, and youth, we have found that these are not occurring with regularity or following all of the NC child welfare manual policy in Mecklenburg. We will discuss what the expectations are based on the current NC policy, what we have seen happening, and how to advocate within your own case.
