About the Event

Join Path to Permanency for an interactive People’s Assembly where lived experience, community knowledge and collective action come together to improve foster care in Mecklenburg County.

Participants will learn how P2P’s Permanency Planning Review campaign moved from shared concerns to meaningful action, hear updates on upcoming educational and advocacy opportunities, and help identify practical solutions to three persistent barriers to timely permanency: case-professional turnover, communication and accountability gaps, and limited mental health resources. Whether you have personal or professional experience with foster care—or simply want to help children reach permanency sooner—your voice is welcome.

Dinner and childcare will be provided.
