About the Event
This is the follow-up to our first People's Assembly. Join us as we explore our Research Teams' insights into the critical barriers preventing timely permanency for children in Mecklenburg County and bringing these cases back within the federal Adoption and Safe Families Act (ASFA) standards. We will brainstorm ideas to take our priority problems and narrow them into specific issues and then convert those into meaningful actions. We will vote on the specific issues and actions as a group. Each focus issue/action will be assigned an action team to take us to the next level and you will have the opportunity to volunteer and join a team that interests you.
